Hill's Professional & Veterinary Affairs Manager ass. -  located in Piraeus Greece

This role is instrumental in the company’s efforts to grow sales and market share in CEEME SOUTH REGION  by its focus on veterinary recommendation and ‘Brand Recommendation Most Often’ (BRMO) leadership, by providing education, and technical and business development support to the profession, and by bringing veterinary insights to the company.

The A-PVAM tailors the strategy provided by the European PVA director and CEEME team  to the SOUTH Region markets’ situation and commercial grid to deliver Hill’s programs focused on all parts of the veterinary profession (schools, students, KTL, practicing veterinarians (general and specialist), trade & professional associations, nurses, as well as internal audiences), integrates these programmes into each country’s commercial organization, and accomplishes the yearly KPI/goals set by division and the CEEME GM, leading to:

• Strong positive impression of the Hill’s company, its products, and its services

• Continued scientific leadership of Hill’s

• Leadership in active veterinary team endorsement and BRMO by world-class KTL and relationship management

• Continued market share and top and bottom line growth

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages the Distributors PVAMs in the South region’s country, whose primary responsibilities are

       - Enhance the field sales force technical and further expertise through ongoing TM training and field coaching

                - Influence practice success through nutritional and business education

                - Manage the veterinary & nurse schools and veterinary meetings (Congresses, speaker tours, seminars) in their territories​​

• Visit the markets with Distributor CDM and BDM to 

                  - Connect with the local teams & local KOLs

                  - Have a better understanding of the Key opportunities and Challenges 

                  - Owns PVA Activity Grid which contributes against Key Opps & Challenges

                  - Contribute & Participate in the local Hill’s and Associations events

• Technical & Scientific Affairs: is responsible to support the distributors' PVAMs   on keeping the country technical product data and the technical competencies of the sales force updated, technical (internal and external) training, education (both technical and practice/business development and communication), seminars, and Congresses and approval of all technical marketing and sales materials. Supports distributors’ PVAMs on the  liaison with the country pet food association
• Supports the local PVAMs to respond to professionals and consumers questions and complaints. Be the liaison  between the local PVAMs and Hill’s team to respond to complains and the sensitive cases for the country
• Academic & Professional Affairs: Supports the distributors’ PVAMs to build and enhance the relationship of Hill’s with the countries’  professional associations, Key Thought  Leaders (KTL) and specialists in private practice.

• Closely manages the South region countries’  PVA activity grid and  budget with the local PVAMs and contributes to the broader Hilll’s  CEEME team (sharing best practices, timely KPI reporting, etc.).

• Ensures close cooperation with and integration of PVA activities into the commercial (marketing, customer development) organization and provides the latest veterinary insights by being an active member of the CEEME t Team

• Select and implement the applicable to IT GTM European professional digital initiatives, leading to full implementation of selected professional digital initiatives and increased engagement with ‘Gen Y & Z’.

• Ensures that all Hill’s contacts and communications to customers and consumers consistently meet the professional, ethical and regulatory standards demanded by the veterinary community and the corporation (incl. CP Code of Conduct, FCPA, anti-bribery, pet food regulations, etc)

Expected Areas of Skills 

• Basic qualifications include:  DVM (or equivalent country qualification)
• Preferred qualifications include: MBA, Diplomate in Internal Medicine or Nutrition

• At least 6 years experience in a veterinary practice (or a similar job)

• Build a strong understanding of the PVA role in Indirect GTM model

• Has built a strong understanding about CEEME South Countries  veterinary communities, including the local Small Animal Veterinary Association, and country specialist societies

• Knowledge of the pet food business

• Experience in Hill’s or other commercial business

• Business and practice management experience

• Fluent in home country language and English, additional language(s) a plus
